Hi guys i have got a rather small problem i was hoping that you could give me some light on.

Bought a 360 with LiteOn Drive. Bought myself a Samsung TS-H943A to flash and replace the LiteOn.

Replacing LiteOn (in the 360 already), with a off the shelf Samsung TS-H943A

Okay ....

Open the 360 and stuff, removed the LiteOn Drive (did NOT dump the firmware ORIN.bin from this), put in the Samsung Drive and dumped the ORIN.bin firmware from this drive to USB.

Used orin.bin (from samsung not liteon) USB & iextreme1.4.cmd to make new bin, then wrote the new bin over the samsung firmware.

Re-assembled.

When i try to play ORIGINAL DISCS i get the white screen asking that i insert the disc into an 360 - i.e. wont play ANY games.

Before i re-open and try to sort, what is the problem?

I am assuming that i should of pulled the BIN from LiteOn but i did not thing that was possible? :(

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey,
you need to get the key off the lite on drive first to make the new key compatiable with your xbox. this involes soldering though as far as im aware. although i have read there is maybe a non solder way of dumping the key.

In short.

Dump Key, Inquiriy and Identify files from liteon.

Insert into Samsung iXtreme

Flash Samsung iXtreme to Samsung, this will give the Samsung the LiteOn Key and Drive Sring ID (OSIG)
