Bought some "Zero Defex" Dual Layer DVD+R's the other day, burned Left4Dead and Saints Row 2; Left4Dead booted once and I played it for a bit, now refuses to boot (just get "open tray") Saints Row 2 booted then said update available, I clicked yes to update and it crashed and now that refuses to boot again.

Thought it must be the shitty discs so i looked on the net and saw that Aone discs have good compatability with 360 (it even said it on the ebay listing), so got some of them. Tried burning Left4Dead, first was a coaster, second completed but wont boot, doesnt even try to. Just get get "open tray".

Currently using XBOX Backup Creator v2.8 with the XBC burn engine (dont have ImgBurn or Nero installed so cant use those engines)

Just wondering what everyone else uses? Starting to think maybe its the software fault, either that or I just have a really choosey 360 (boots verbs no probs, maybe its been spoilt lol)

TIA

Its probobly all of those things added together
I do use A-One disks and they are fine on my 360 but i know loads of 360's they wont work on, some 360's only work with verbs and nothing else.
Only programmes i use to burn are CloneCd and Imgburn.

Id suggest getting one of the above programmes and buying some verbatim disks (More expensive but widely known as they best disks for a 360 laser)
and from there you should be ok

Use pioneer 115 or 116 dvd writer

Verbs 8 speed burnt at 2.4 speed

Slysoft clone cd 5.2.9.1

You wont have any problems with that setup.

Cheap media on a 360 and you are asking for trouble, if your disks dont fail then rather too quickly your 360 laser will :(

Verbs @ 2x (w/ Verify enabled) + ImgBurn is what I use. CloneCD is ok also.

Verbs @ 2.4x with ImgBurn.

Tried some cheap disks once upon a time and got a load of coasters.

Spend a bit extra on Verbs and you won't regret it.
