Im about to purchase a preflashed Xbox360, and was wondering a few things,

I understand that if you play games on live with a flashed drive you run the risk of being banned, however what if I was to just connect to download the new dashboard, demos, updates etc but not actually play any online games, can it still be banned?

Also, Im holding off for as long as possible before xmas to get it as you never know whats round the scene corner, ie possible lite-on drive work around that would knmock £40 off the price potentially as nothing needs to be swapped, or a more latest version of ixtreme, does anyone think now would be the best time, or know of any near by updates that would be worth waiting for?

All help is greatly appreciated:beer:

If you don't have a disc in the drrive when you go online, it should be safe because it's the discs they check not the firmware.

As for updates, nobody knows until they come out.

I used mine to get a new dashboard & updates & all is just fine.

Expect about an hour to update once you get your console.

Lucky for you. But it wasn't the first time you got your console.
