Xbox wireless Adapter fault :(

I got a wireless adaptor, the ariel part had been slightly bent and as a result has a range of about 6 foot instead of 20 - 30, is there anything I can do with it because atm its pretty useless, I really don't want to fork out another 40+ quid

id advise the stop working story, cos im sure they will just say its your own fault. and it could get damaged in transit ;)
