v4 ps2 no video just black screen ?

hi,

i got a v4 ps2 it wont show brouser its just a black screen, i can hear it booting a ps2 game but when i switch on its just black screen?

i heard this might be a bios problem, so i was wondering if i install a messiah chip, im not 100% sure but when u install the chip it runs the bios off the chip not the ps2 bios, so might this work?

Could be a bios problem if you have tried to solder a chip and made a solder bridge this can definitely happen.

If you install the messiah it patches the bios it doesnt take over the bios completely like an xbox chip so chipping this wouldnt help your situation

Can also be your video cable.

i checked the video cable and its ok, is there any way of telling if its the bios?

Did you solder a chip in before

If so I would check for solder bridges on the bios chip

Also do you hear the fan?

Could be a fuse
