Which 360

Hi lads

Looking at getting a 360. One of my mates has offered me his which is 2.5 years old with 20gb hdd and some games for £90 but he says it doesn't have an hdmi port on it.
Can you just get a cable to convert the component output to hdmi?
Is the picture quality the same if there is a cable?

Or should I get a new 360 with the Lite-on drive in it and pay the £70 to get it modded?

Pretty sure with his being that old it won't have a Lite-on drive in it, so should only cost the £30 to flash.

Id never recommend getting an older 360 - the relaibilty is just too bad.

Buy new, pay that little extra knowing that it has no history, full warranty etc:

Would the warranty still be valid if I had the Lite-on drive replaced with a Samsung one so it could be modded?

Technically no, but you can always put the liteon back in if it ever needs sending back, as long as the warranty sticker is in good condition (on the new ones it's really easy to open them without breaking the sticker).
