How to convert anime to dvd

Does anybody have an idea how to convert japanese anime to dvd? if the file is already an avi or mpeg how do i convert it to dvd format? thanks!

You will need an mpeg2 encoder, something like TMPGEnc or CCE and a reathouring program such as dvd-lab, TMPEnc DVD author or Scenarist.

i have a lot of anime that has already been converted to avi and mpeg, which program is the best for this kind of converting to dvd.

Depends on the quality. Also the mpeg's may only need their audio converted.

Best is very subjective, of the above; TMPGEnc is ok, CCE is quicker.
