Have couple of xbox 360s here which have various faults 2 red lights and drive issues anyway of forcing rrod so can send back under warranty?

not without opening them anyway. If the 2 red lights are 1 and 3, it's just overheating and you can easily fix that yourself.

You can make it red ring very easy.

You need to pull a wire on the dvd drive. its on the top row of the power cable,2nd from end from the right... this is if the xbox is facing you.

Just pull cable so it comes out of the plug and then push it back in so its not obvious.
