Someone i know had a hitachi drive and i used to provide them with games but the verbs disks didnt work for him. But if they work in your drive they will be the best to use.

I'd put that down to a dodgy drive if the burns were verified to be of good quality.

yh i think it was, cos the games would work fine on my 360 and friends 360's, but ive had this happy twice, and they were both Hitachi.

Theres no clear rule for this.
Verbs work in most so stick with them but you will get some drives which wont like them...
same with Aone etc.
Also burner can be an issue too...
Its just trial and error.
The thing with Verbatim is you know you are getting a good disc and the dye wont just change randomly and be shite.
Traxdata were a good alternative until they changed dye...now I stick to Verbs all the way, never seen a drive not like them.

Not to mention the fact that even if your drive will read Aone etc. as they are such poor quality the drive laser will undoubtedly be working harder to read them. The long shot of which will be a shortened life span.
Use cheap chit if you don't mind the extra seek noise and the prospect of replacing laser sooner rather than later.
I've got a launch day Hitachi 47 that was hacked the first day the flash was released. As verbs were short supply back then I did start out briefly with Richo cr@p. Soon changed pretty rapido though. It still goes like a train and ready Verbs lovely.

as danman said , my experience is that when the 360 is new it will read anything but over the course of time you will find that your games on cheap media will give you the dirty disc error , i only ever use verbs now .
also what phone guy said is true too get yourself a new pioneer drive mate u can pick um up for £18 and alonf with ure verbs and make sure your hd is ok too
