I'm trying a trial version of Kaspersky internet security 2009 and azureus is now firewalled.
I'm used to mcafee which just popped up asking if i wanted to allow azureus to connect etc and everything was ok but i can't see what i need to do with kaspersky.

Every software firewall by default will block the programs with strange behaviors from making in/out traffics. The firewall makes the decision whether to allow or to block a program and many times, the decisions are not appropriate. You will need to open the firewall settings, there should be a page to show all blocked as well as allowed applications and you can change the permission for the BT client from there. I believe you can also change how the permissions are handled (auto/manual). Sorry, I do not use Kaspersky so that's all I can say. :)

i've looked in the settings and azueus.exe has got green ticks under the network settings so i thought it would be ok.
i've been looking for something to do with tcp/udp settings but can't see anything.

thanks van, hopefully someone with kaspersky maybe able to help.

if i can't sort it out i'll go back to using mcafee because i did find it easier to understand but i recently lost trust in it when my wife and also my sister both got trojans on their pc's without mcafee even detecting them.
