my friend has a xbox with 4816 Kernal and 5659 Dash. He plays xbox live on it, he is going to buy a new xbox and want to us that one for xbox live. can i use 007 raincoat trick or does the dash need to be changed to an older one?

I'm alittle confused on what your asking. Do you want to flash the tsop and play xbox live? The only possible way to do this is with a version 1.0 or 1.1 xbox that contain the 1mb bios chip, and then you'd have to install a switch on the motherboard. If you need the info just let me know.

no i don't want to play live on it. my friend wants a modded xbox and he is going to buy a new one, he plays live on his old xbox, he wants to trasfer his acount to the new xbox so he has the warrnty on the new xbox. i was asking about the old xbox that he currently plays live on, what i wanted to know is run the 007 trick on the old xbox and wanted to know if the new version of xbox live 3 would get in the way, he not going to play on it after modded.

ps someone told me that 007 trick works on all dash/kernal, i know that other exploits don't work with the updated dash 5659. I think the 007 exploit works on any D/K because the problem with the game that lets it run.

007 gamesave exploit does work with any Dash or Kernal. (This will allow u to get FTP access)

...Trouble is u may not be able to install the Exploit or run Pheonix Bios Loader (PBL) !!!!!

For instance u must have dash 4920 to install the expliot, but if your Kernal is 55**, or above u need to choose a version PBL that works with your chipset/setup.

If you flash the tsop with 007 raincoat(after solder the bridging joints) you can use slayers auto installer to downgrade the dash and have the box running in tip top order.

After the tsop is flashed the box will run fine on whatever alternate dashboard(evox,avaluanch,unleashx...) you use. The only thing that will be hindered is the ability to update the clock if the MS dashboard doesn't link, which can be bipased by downgrading the MS dash or using unleashx or avalaunch to set the time.
