Hi all

I downloaded a TV series which was in 42 x 100meg rar parts.

I unzipped it and it created one huge "ISO" file, over 4gig. I wasn't expecting that! I thought it would have unpacked into 4 or 5 "DVD size" avi files for me to convert and burn.

Anyway, I don't really know what to do with this ISO file. I assume it needs to be unpacked into avi files or something?? Any software I should be using with this file?

Many thanks if you can help.

Nope, ISO as well as other image files such as NRG, IMG, BIN/CUE, etc. are meant to be burned onto CD/DVD discs. Use your burnware (Nero, Roxio Easy Media Creator, etc.) to burn the ISO to a DVD using the Burn Image option. Also, IMGBurn (http://www.imgburn.com/) is an excellent freeware.

We can also mount the image to a virtual drive to run it in Windows without burning it to a disc. Some popular virtual drives can be obtained from: SlySoft (http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html), Alcohol Soft (http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/), Daemon Tools (http://daemon-tools.en.softonic.com/), etc..

Popular image file tools: WinISO (http://www.winiso.com/), UltraISO (http://www.ezbsystems.com/ultraiso/), MagicISO (http://www.magiciso.com/), etc..
