Can anyone recommend any really simple ways for my dad to send to me approx 100 jpegs files from his Pc to my Pc.
Probably about 75 Mb.

Thanks.

Can he not put them on a CDR and send them to you ? .... that would be the simplest way.

If not, assuming he has an internet connection, he could set up his PC as a simple FTP Server and put them in the ftproot directory.
You would then be able to access these and download them.

Or you could both sign on to M$ Messenger or similar and send the files across .... a bit slow though.

You could just have him email you them, like 5 at a time or so. Depending on what the meg limitation is on both email accounts.

kinda sux, but i think that is the eastiest way.

Maybe one of the on line photo album sites will be easier ...... have a look at this one, they offer a 14 day trial :

EDIT :

The only drawback with this is you will have to grab each photo at a time ... no way of batch d/l afaics.

Whats the easiest FTP Program around?

If your Dad is using XP Pro or W2000, these both have Internet Information Services (IIS), so no other software is neded to set up an FTP server.
If he has XP Home or earlier, he will need Third party Software to achieve it.
A popular proggy is Serv-U (http://www.serv-u.com/) program by RhinoSoft.

Have a look at this site, it's full of useful information and should get you started :

not sure ftp would work anyway as most good companies, or should I say companies with good admins, block either the port or traffic for ftp. Check with your admins if this is ok. I would say the easiest would be a free online storage facility such as a photo album site as per above

Good Point .... I hadn't thought of that.

Certainly if you are looking to download at work, this could be a problem.
