My Temp access code being used - Brand New Ps2 Adapter - Online Problems

I set up my PS2 got to registration page and entered the temp access number I got with the Network Adapter I bought from Gamestation and was told the number was already in use !

Ahhh it was brand new and sealed so it's not been used before

Anyone got any ideas ?

i rang help line apparently there's over 5000 duplicates gone out by accident - they will send out another if this happens to you.

As mentioned above just return it or get them to issue you a new one. ;)

Is this number one that comes with the Network Access Disk? Is this to register an account with Central Station?
Only I was thinking of buying a second hand network adapter from ebay, but if the network access disk has a unique serial No/ ID, then I would need an unused disk?
