Im quite new to this, and I thought this forum would have guides for backing up all games, but there only seems to be ones for CD's

So how do you do DVD's?

I read a few guides I found on google which involved either PrimoDVD or RecordNow MAX. PrimoDVD doesnt recognise my burner at all, neither does RecordNow MAX (although it is only version 3, couldnt find any links for a newer version, not sure if theres a free trial or anything)

My burner is a Pioneer 106 btw, and I just want to back up vice city. Can Alcohol be used to back it up?

Also, wouldnt it be useful in this forum to have FAQ's and guides stickied? Cus theres a great FAQ and some good CD back up guides at the bottom of the 3rd page...not exactly easy to find

You can use virtually anything to back them up m8. DiscJuggler (Copy DVD), DVD Decryptor (ISO mode), Nero, Alcohol 120%, etc. All will copy them at default "Copy DVD" or "Copy Image" settings.

To back up a dvd game you put it in your machine & select dvd copy. That's all there is to it. Don't need a whole FAQ for that.

just had no idea it was that easy..last time i backed up games was for the ps1 and u could only use cdr-win and pretty much nothing else

what about cd games? can i use nero for them too?
also do any games need patches?
