Formatting a Harddrive

Pc has one harddrive, how can i format it without putting into a another system?

I normally use a bootable CD with the HDD tools downloaded from the HDD manufacturer's website.

Set it up as slave, Control Panel-> administrive tools-->computer mangement--> Disk management

Right ckick said hard rive-->Format or somthing to tha effect.

Are you going to be installing Windows once you've formatted it? Because there is an option to format the drive in the Windows setup.

If you are installing windows, just follow the instructions. There will be an option to delete or format a partition before you install windows again.

Otherwise, you can probably format it in DOS or run the tools from a bootable CD/pen drive
