PC not connecting to internet

Hi all,

I have a Netgear DG834 router and i can connect wirelessly, but i also have it hard wired into a desktop but it will not connect. It was OK till a few days ago and now nothing... Incase its of any relevance, i'm on Freedom2surf. also my pop3 email packed in a few days before the internet connection chucked it.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Network Card driver on the desktop PC

cheers mate, this is a nightmare. Its just this second started working again after i powered down the router (not for the first time).I would blame the ISP if it wasn't for the wireless working.
