I have no idea what I did but some of my programs like p2p, and MIRC can no longer access the internet. I don't know if it's related, but I can't set up an ftp on this computer either.
I thought at first it might be my router, but my laptop is on the same wireless network, and they all work from it. Also these programs worked for a long time after I got the router.
Does anyone have any suggestions I could try?
It may still be your router if you only configured your computer to have the firewall that the router provides. Are you runing a software firewall?

unfortunatly I can't it's built into my dsl modem. But I really don't think it's my router, because it has settings to allow different p2p networks, and they are all set to go through. And before someone asks I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times.

try resetting ur modem/router to default settings to be sure its not a router problem. there should be a button somewhere to reset it..just hold it down for a few seconds. or look through the setup menu for a default settings button. write down any important settings beforehand

I tried that. I also tried opening all ports, and that still didn't do it.
