burning dvdr's for the PS3

Been using convert x to dvd to convert my downloaded divx/xvid content onto dvdr's to play on my dvd player these work great on my 360 as well, but they don't always work on my PS3 i often get an unplayable content error, so....... how best do i burn to dvdr to play on all 3?

maybe it's the media you're using?
I use convertxtodvd with no problems on my PS3

I'm using Verbs burnt at 4x, typically i'll get 3 or 4 divx/xvid files on one disc. in this instance theres 3 1st one plays but second one comes up with "this video cannot be played (80029944) i then get the option to go back but cannot skip past it to the 3rd, the disc plays fine on my dvd player and the 360.

are you using convertxtodvd to burn the file to disc?
I always let it make the folder and then use Nero to burn it, made about 100, never had any problems with the PS3 playing them

Yeah, convert x burns them to disc, had a little play around last night & discovered that if i do a tv series all rips by the same group they work fine but if i get several different rips by different groups (ie, all ripped with slightly different methods) thats when i get a problem, the same ones that don't play on a disc together do work if all burnt on seperate discs, weird! i'll try burning with another program.

Never managed to solve this, converted with convertxtodvd & tried burning with nero & ones but get the same results some play some don't, if anyone has any ideas feel free, until then i'm back with the 360.

Do the disks play ok in other equipment ? ... i.e. other standalone DVD Players.
