Hard Drive Help Please

Hi Guys

I've got a Dell Dimension 1100 in the spare room. It has an 80GB HD, Model No. ST380011A ATA

I'm looking to replace it with a much larger one, and seems to be the right time considering they seem to be very cheap now.

However, there are alot of different types and I'm confused as to what specs I should be looking out for

Samsung and Western Digital would be my choice, in that order.

Assuming it's an IDE Drive, look for a 7200 with 16mb cache. This should give you a decent performance on the Dell.
