Firefox 3 final,where is it??

Thought today (tuesday 17 JUNE) is supposed to be the big day for downloading...have held back rather than get beta versions,tried using google
no joy....I understand USA different time zones etc but thought there would be links all over the place to try and beat world record....signed up with mozilla to be kept uptodate but so far heard nothing

I understand as i type this it is only 0845am but it is 17 June so where are you Firefox 3 ???

Is firefox 3 better than ie7, and if so what are your reasons?

LOL will let you know after 6pm... havn't used IE for years so dont really know,once i started using firefox never went back to IE

its released everywhere at the same time, works out at 6PM BST

msr, IE7 is very slow and bloated in comparison (Firefox is a 7Mb download!), I started to use FF3 rc3 this morning and it's a lot faster than FF2 which was always faster than IE7

I never found Firefox 2 faster than IE7. Quite the contrary....

Firefox 3 still has the same memory issues that plague Firefox 2.
A single instance of the application still swallows 45,000K by comparison to IE7 30,000K.

A few issues but it's waaay better than any IE for years I have found in testing it so far. :)

You can download IE8 Beta 1 directly from Microsoft.

IE8 Beta 2 will be released later in August.

I tried IE8 beta a couple of months ago and it's too buggy for me, at least on my XP system (I didn't try it on a Vista machine). Like Lazza said, it has a better look and feel than version 7.

i find firefox 3 a breath of fresh air compared to ie7 0r 8 its just so much faster
