This new worm started spreading Friday night.

Make sure that you are running a firewall.
Make sure that you do your Windows updates (Critical).
Make sure your anti-virus application has the latest updates.

Thanks for this. I had this problem, even with my Firewall on. I installed the Windows Update and it it has stopped it from turning off my pc.

However, I still get at startup LSASS.exe (export version) has performed an error, how can I fix this? I click dont send to Microsoft and everything is then fine, but annoying and worrying nonetheless.

Had this at the weekend. Sorted it out with the manual removal instructions and applied the microsoft security patch and now seems fine.

had it at work yesterday all the systems were down for the whole day, so sat around doing crosswords!

Today systems worked in the morning but now gone down again, which is strange but 2hrs later no news about them coming back up, at least today can access the net!
