Ps3 Firmware Updates

Hi Guys
Got A Us 40gb Ps3, Firmware On It Is 2.00, But For Me Toplay Current Games, I Need To Upgrde The Firmware.

What Easier, If I Download The Latest 2.30 Firmware From He Net And Put On My Usb Stick Or Download Straight From System Update On Console.

As I Will Be Ding Viawireless, Will It Take Too Long.

Also Purchased The Console From Anoher Guy And When I Try To Access Internet,it Is Asking Me For A 4 Digit Code, How Ca I Reset This, Without Losing Any Other Informationon The Console,e.gsaved Games, Music, Demos Etc....

It takes ages to download through system update. It should have it on the game disc though. If not, downloading to a USB stick is a much better option.

Try 0000 as the code, that's the default. If not, (Settings) > (System Settings) > [Restore Default Settings] will restore it to 0000. You can back up your saves to a USB stick but it shouldn't delete them.

will that make a difference, it wont mess up the system will it
