Depends on how you want to run it.
I'm running a P4 @ 3.1GHz, 1Gb of RAM and an ATi Radeon 9800XT and I still get a little slow down.
But that's on absolute max detail with AA and AF on.
The 'recommended minimum' is:
1GHz CPU
256Mb RAM
GeForce 2 or above
But with those specs I would say that even the minimum detail level will still struggle.
EDIT - Oh, and for it to play at a reasonable speed, don't even bother with anything less than 512Mb of RAM. Ideally you want a gig of the stuff.

I wouldn't recommend Far Cry to someone with a system on the lower end of the requirements. It may run fine with low detail, but this isn't a game to be played on low detail. The gameplay itself is ok, but it's the outstanding graphics that really make the game. I'm running it at max detail with a P4 3.0ghz, 1gb ram, and Radeon 9700 Pro, and I haven't noticed any slowdown whatsoever.
