I was wondering how the Legacy Brand DVD-r's stack up to the Ritek ones. I mean I KNOW Ritek is the say all end all on media, but I was just wondering how the Legacy's compare.
THANKS guys:beer:

Last time I checked these were the "cheap-o" brand at circuit city. Not the greatest. Also they are at least as expensive as Riteks so I wouldn't bother.

Yeah, I dont think saving the 10 buck difference will be worth any potential hassle......but when shopping for the Riteks, I see soooo many different ones. ANd people on this board mention different kinds and ask opinions on them. As long as theyre Ritek/Ridata everything is good right?

Yup, I have been using both for quite a while now and have yet to encounter any problems. At any rate you will have a much higher chance of success with Ritek/Ridata than Legacy.

So what MID are the Legacys then?
Or are they one of these change-every-other-week merchants?

I believe they are the latter. I like Circuit City for a number of things but I would never touch anything from them for media. Horribly overpriced and they try to feature Sony/Memorex media. Doesn't say much for them IMHO.
