Nero CD / DVD Speed

Hi guys,

I have the latest version of the above software 4.7.7.15 and I used it now again to check some discs I burnt.

I have two Pioneer 111 writers and these used to perform the disc quality test. Slow, but it tested them OK.

Yesterday the writers will no longer check the discs, most of the time the "start" tab is greyed out on the disc quality section !
when it's not greyed out, clicking on it produces an "Error Intialzing Disc" message.

Any idea what has changed ?

Haven't added any new software. Just worked one day and not the next !

Your burner probably is going bad. Try DVDInfoPro (http://www.dvdinfopro.com/), my favorite.

but the problem is with both burners.

Will DVDINFOPRO do quality checks on Pioneer writers ??
