However, do not buy RAM from them if you wanna save money. :)
Scan your system to see what motherboard it has, what type of RAM it uses, how many RAM slots and the size each slot can accept then come back here. We'll tell you where to buy. :)

it tells me i can have the following:
Maximum Memory Capacity: 3145728 MB
Currently Installed Memory: 2048 MB
Available Memory Slots: N.A.
Number of Banks: 2
now im guessing that is a mistake but if i could have that much memory it would certainly be useful! i think that is 3tb altho my maths maybe a bit out.

Use Everest Home (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html) to get the make/model of the mobo.

Once in a great while they have a good deal but you're right - for some reason their RAM is usually cheaper from a 3rd party. Strange. hehe

If you buy a product directly from the manufacturer, it's very likely that you'll be paying the retail price whereas when you buy the same item from a dealer (retailer), you'll pay the streetprice. Retail price is the suggested price set by the manufacturer to standardize the pricing for a product. Most dealers (retailers) charge much lower (streetprice) than the retail price of that item depending on the volume discount when they paid the whole sale cost. The retailers like to list both retail price and their price to make the customers believe that they're getting the product with a good deal. Actually, they are not.
