Hey guys I accidently deleted some stuff that i had rar'ed up (emptied from recycle bin too- yeah i know  )
anyway, I have Easy Recovery pro 6, but it doesn't have rar files as one of the file types it can search for but gives you the option of adding additional file types, but gives you the option of adding additional file types- the thing is along with the extention type (in my case .rar) I need the signature in hexadecimal format and and the signature offset which should be "zero relative and less than 512bytes"
I think i got the the signature but have no clue as to what to put in the signature offset box.
If you guys know what i'm talking about or know of a better data recovery prog then I'd greatly appreciate the help
thanks guys!
ok i found this on the winrar site re: the signature but still not sure about what offset to use:
Following signature stands for an RAR archive:
52 61 72 21 1A 07 00
which must be present in first 256 KB (in most cases in first 64-128 KB)
of the .rar or .exe file.
