Battlefield Vietnam No CD

I've got a real copy of battlefield vietnam on my computer, but someone else has the CD's. I downloaded a patch to get on the game without the CD.

It now loads up (without asking for the CD) but when I try joining an internet game it asks me for the CD.

Can anyone tell me how you can get around this (download something)

there are online multiplayer patches out there but they are rubbish and never really work and not for long the best way would be to get your cds back off your m8
