high definition films???

Evening all

was wondering you get the wmv-hd discs of films ripped from hd-dvd and bluray discs you can play on the xbox 360 is there the same sort of thing for the ps3???

was just wondering cos fancied getting some to try on my ps3

the PS3 does play WMV films and with the recent 2.20 update it can play ones bigger than 2Gb.
I wouldn't recommend any under 8Gb, and the same with MKVs as the bitrate has been considerably lowered for them defeating the whole point of Hi-def

if there's WMV versions about then you can probably find .mkv .ts or .mpg versions, the ts and mpg can be played on the PS3 and MKVs just need running through MKV2VOB (free) before they can be played
