Its the same as any other 7200/133 drive. The only thing is that... flat out maxtor sucks!(My Opinion) Sorry be so blunt, but I have heard so many people complain about them, life of drive 2 years if that. And the only 2 maxtor drives we had at work are dead, they were made in Oct. 2002

I've never noticed any difference myself between the 100 and 133 and not had any problems with Maxtors myself though I've heard the stories about not lasting long so there is obviously some truth in that.

Been using WD Caviar's on new system builds of late and they've been fine also. I really don't think there is much between most HD's these days. You pay your money and make your choice. :)

Western Digitals and Maxtor both have a reasonable close fail rates. Its like tryin got guess if a honda or a toyota will fail first.

I've had both Maxtor and WD die on me. the Maxtor was a 120 and the WD was a 200. Both were full at the time of crash. The sh**ty thing is I maintain my pc. It really made me mad, but what can you do? I guess it happens.
