SLI Graphics Cards

i know you have to buy the same model, but does it have to be the same RAM as well, i have an 8600GT with 512 Ram, but for the same price now i can get the 8600GT with 1Gb Ram, can you do that or do i have to stick to the 512 version?

We can use Coolbits (http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_coolbits.html) to force the 2 cards to use the lower size of the 2 different memory sizes of the 2 cards in SLI mode. Of course, it's recommended to use the 2 cards with the same memory size.

Edit: Make sure you're using the latest nVIDIA video driver.
