Hey guys, I got a question.
I just downloaded a couple of games.
Here's 1 for example:
MIDWAY_ARCADE_TREASURES_USA_DVDRIP_PS2-CONFUSION
Now I was told if it says DVDRIP, then use DVDR.
But, I read the .nfo file and I saw this in it:
Media ........... : CD (BIN/CUE)
CD Length ....... : 80 Minutes

The info says to use media CD.

Can someone please clarify this for me?
THanks.

DVD rip means they ripped something out of the dvd to make it fit on a CD.
Use a dvd if it says 'FULLDVD' or something similar, or if the image is too big for a CD.

Another way to do it .... if it's the official release (which yours is) and not repacked by joe blow, just check the file size of the RARs. Scene standard calls for CDs to be packed into 15mb or 20mb files, DVDs are to be packed into 50mb files.

U can always just start with a cd in the writer & if it won't fit the writing program asks for a dvd.

Ya, basically from the size of the image you get you should be able to tell.

One other way you can tell (99% of the time)

if its in iso or gi format, its a DVD

if its in bin/cue format, its a CD

remember this is not ALWAYS true...but i'd say 99% of the time...

Best way to figure out if you have a DVD/CD/DVDrip is a combination of size/format/reading the nfo...also if you know the game was originally released on CD, then you won't find a DVD version, and if its originally released on DVD, you can expect to see a full DVD and a DVD-rip (cd version)...
