You want "epson scan 2.7u" get it from any of the below links
http://tech.epson.com.au/downloads/product.asp?sCategory=Multi_Functional&id=stylusphotorx430&FileType=1&EmailAdd=dm@megacom.uz&MetricIDReturned=730419&platform=winxp
http://esupport.epson-europe.com/FileDetails.aspx?lng=en-GB&data=nKGrQtfEm6kHWBEJ28xxcHshhUPbB8m4&id=30712
Cheers Geobon, i have now tried both of these and both give me the same "EPSON Scan cannot be started" error message. Been thro the trouble shooter and connections are ok but when it starts talking about TWAINS it loses me
The printer itself is printing fine, just no scanner.
Any further help or ideas wouild be appreciated.

Could try this http://driverscollection.com/?file_id=24466
as for twain most graphics applications support twain standard, photoshop, paintshop pro etc etc
Nope, same with that one. Got a message saying printer is not connected but it is and prints fine. Something weird going on some where................
Oh and yes, its XP.
Thanks for the help.

have you made sure the scanner isn't locked on the printer?
there should be a switch you can lock before transporting the printer if it is locked the scanner won't work.
Thanks Polarstar, if it is i cant find it, so the mystery continues.
Getting very frustrated here.
