Hi folks, i'm very new to the XBOX, actually i havn't got one yet. I have been doing a bit of reading and i was thinking about getting one to use as a media centre running XBMC.

If i was to load up XBMC (is that simple?) Does it have to be a hacked box i run it on or will it run on an unhacked box?

I have a telephone socket beside the TV thats unused at the moment (not master socket). Can i plug my wifi router into that socket and connect the XBOX via ethernet and stream music and video from my PC (thats in another room) to the XBOX to the TV?

If i have a hacked box connected to the router is there a chance i will get banned from XBOX live even if i dont play on it?

Does this all seem feasible? If it is these may be my first of many questions!

I think you are confuddled here mate.

From reading that slightly tipsy, I think you think XBMC will run on a 360.

XBMC is an excellent media designed for xbox1 but will only run on a modded box, they are very easily exploited these days.

If it is confusion, I dont think the xbox1 is wireless network compatable, but you can still get banned from live for having a modded console.

360 wise, you cant run XBMC (yet, homebrew exploits are in devolpment) but if you have a wireless router distributing the internet in your house hold a 360 can connect, and having your box modded even with the latest hacks runs the risk of banning from Live.
