Hi folks,
I have a particular computer running XP Pro SP2.
When I try and print the document/picture whatever only partially prints and then paper ejects and I get a yellow ballon with

"this document failed to print" error message.

Doesn't matter which printer I select R300/R360/RX520 (all correct with drivers installed) it's the same every time.

I've uninstalled and re-installed all drivers countless times but it's the same thing.

All printers work 100% perfect with other PC's, I've tried them on 3 other comps without a hitch. I've also tried different USB cables to eliminate that.

I've googled and searched to no avail.

Anyone else had and solved this prob before please?

Cheers for looking in.

(asuming all 3 are USB) Have you tried uninstalling the USB drivers and rebooting with the printers unplugged

Thanks for looking in chaps.

I have tried that COUGAR thanks mate.

It's an Asus M2V motherboard Chris.

Previously all were working fine on the comp. I can't remember installing anything that will have messed with it but I think it's deffo software related (XP in particular).

I'm leaning towards a full Windows install, but as it'll take an age to get everything back peachy I'm also a bit torn.

Thanks again.
Dan

Have you changed any settings in the BIOS or has it been reset? There is somtimes a option for USB Speed etc.. ?

Haven't changed nothing mate.
Transfering files over USB etc is still as quick as ever.

I don't know if it's a fluke but I just printed 10 DVD's with the R300 and it worked FOR NOW. I have had one of these good days last week but then it went t!ts up again. Will have to see.

I did make 1 minor change to see if it helped, may be coincidence but I turned off Spooling and set it to print direct. The obvious downside is you can't queue any jobs and you can't use the app until the job you're on is done.

The cache space (if you can call it that?) for spooling isn't an issue. I've tried setting it to different drives all of which have at least 200GB spare. I've defragged, changed all sorts of folders and god knows what.

I'm at a loss.

Thanks again Chris for looking in
