Mystery file

i keep getting a file appear on my desktop or in my documents folder named " ~ ", anyone any ideas what it could be ?

i keep getting a file appear on my desktop or in my documents folder named " ~ ", anyone any ideas what it could be ?

I've got the same thing "~" is about 175 bytes in size , it keeps creeping up in the desktop for no reason, I've scanned it with the latest dats from Norton 2004 and run the latest definitions of spyware from system mechanic on it.
I've deleted it about 5 times, But it just keeps coming back.

Me too, Ive had it for ages and it doesnt seem to do anything, good or bad. I just keep deleting it but would like to know what it is ???
