Removing dots and streaks in DVD Cover Scans?

Hey,

Was hoping someone could give me some tips on removing the white speckles all over the cover and streaks near the Spine using Photoshop...I'm new to this and it is a little overwhelming.

I'm trying to print a crisp cover, with as little dust looking particles as possible.

Filter -> Noise -> dust & scratches

make sure preview is ticked and mess with the radius (usually anything over 3 for me ruins the look of the whole image)

or

Filter -> noise -> despeckle (no options but you can run more than once)
