Has anyone sent their 360 back to MS for warranty repair?

My 360 looks like it's on its death bed. Last night, I got te RROD, but now, I managed to boot it this morning, but within minutes of playing a game, it just hangs.

Have any of you sent your 360's back toi MS even thoguh they've been modded? Should I get it unmodded before sending it back or don't worry about it?
I know some of the USA based members have done it,. but not sure if UK ones have?

Also, I can't find a UK number for MS warranty repairs - anyone know where I can find it?

Many people have and got away with it, but if you can Id flash to standard and put a warranty sticker on it.

My mate sent his back still modded and without a sticker and they changed it fine, it just really pot luck on the day, whether you get number one employee, or im working here just to pay my bills lol.

Yeah I have had a couple of mates send theirs back and have been repaired fine... The good ol USA seems to be a bit more hardline tho... They have been sending em back to the customer with "warranty void" written across them .....

you will be fine matey,ive sent 3 off got them all back repaired and 2 of them still had the flashed drives in when i got em back:)none of them had the warranty sticker on neither:)

Mine has been sent in with no sticker and still flashed, its been a bit over a week now, i hope i get it back all fixed up :)

Chreers chaps. I've spoken to them and am sending it off. They're fixing it for £60 all in. I'm guessing I'll have to get it re-flashed again when it comes back.

It's only in the 3 year warranty if it gets permanent RROD

Id send it in as RROD if it did previously happen. As i know mine had RROD and then would work for like 5-10 mins, and then just kick off.

Im sure you can blag 3 reds these days - when it first happened to me it happened but went away but within 24 hours was a permanent fixture.

You phone wioth 3 reds, you send it in and it doesnt, surely thats something that genuinely CAN happen.

yeh id always say it had 3 RROD anyways,it dont matter what fault it had,as if they send it back with a prob,then you just say mmmmmmmmmm it was fine when i sent it to you except for the 3 RROD:)

Thing is, I didn't want to ride my luck as I'm still worried about them realising I've had it modded. They picked it up yesterday, so I've got a 3/4 week wait. When it comes back, I'll know if I have to re-mod it.

ya mine was 9 biz days, problem is the one you get back to you still need to flash it again, so mine has bene shipped off to get that done..

going to be like 1 month round trip.

I bought a spare in the mean time :)

Anything over 72 hours for a 350 mod collect and return is quite bad IMO.

Got it back the other day. None of the backups work - I get either messages saying 'You need to put this disc into an xbox 360 console in order to play it, or nothing happens at all - as in, the disc doesn't even read. Ah well. Guess I'm gonna have to pay £40 to get it reflashed. Nevermind - it's always worth it.

£40! thats tad high, where do you go to get it done? You could always look at doing it yourself then you will have no problems when firmware is updated.

Ya they swapped your 360, the same thing happened to me a few weeks back, I got it reflashed and its now good to go :)

i have several 360s here all with three red lights can i send them all back as one? or will i have to ring up for each? there all second hand so not registered in my name

I know a place in London that do them - he's a bit on the expensive side, but does a good job.

my mate, rang them up today as he just got the RROD, all was going fine, details being taken etc until they asked for his email address, as soon as he gave them it, the guy on the phone said, sorry mate ur 360's been banned, nothing we can do..... if he'd have given a different email addy to the one he regged his 360 account with, would he have got away with it??

i cant see it being his email addy buddy,they would have said that when he gave the serial number....
he could have a brand new xbox,but using the same email,so they cant tell its banned from that!!!
