dvdrw problem

ok this has been a very bad day for me and now this has happened:

all my dvdr backup discs are burnt as multisession and used to be able to be read (all sessions) by my dvdrw (liteon ldw 411s) i also burnt them all with this same drive but now its only reading session 1.

i do not hae another drive to test these on and i cant seem to upgrade my firmware as apparently i do not have a ldw-411s

any ideas why my drive is reading session 1 only and/or how i can solve it,

im running win98 (used 2 be XP i cannot confirm that it was reading session 2+ on win98 but it was reading it on XP before)

I'm pretty certain that multisession dvdr's are only reaadable on XP & (maybe 2000), but not on W98.

When you select multisession in Nero, I'm sure it warns you of this.

now that would explain it .. and nero tells you it might not be able to be read in some dvd drives, nothing about different OS's


ill just have to go back to XP then
