tiscali and msn help

hi all, im hoping someone can help me out. a froend has phoned to say they have set up there tiscali router and got connected but msn wont connect. im waiting for them to ring back with the error code but are there any settings in the router setup i might need to alter?

the msn error codes are 80048820 extended error code 80048411

can anyone help me out or tell me how to access the router settings for a siemens router please
