Hey Guys, my question is can i make a image of my drive using Norton Ghost, And then place that ghost on a different drive?
as of now i have my os on a 10 gig, and my Files on a 30 gig. i wanna take the data on my 10 gig and place them on a 40 gig i just bought. is it possable?
Yep...thats the system we use for test machines at work.
Each one has two drives, a primary drive that has all the relevant apps on it and a smaller secondary drive to hold a ghost image of the first.
You just boot up in Ghost and tell it to restore the image from the second drive.

i have been using norton for cloning one hdd to another so i have a backup.how do i make an image of an hdd so i can store it on a dvdr?
Shouldn't be a problem as far as I know...
An normal image should consist of 2 files, one with a .GHO extension and the other a .GHS (small images <1Gb or so only have one file). I think you can just burn them to the DVDR and then tell Ghost to use the image from the DVD drive after booting....assuming of course you have the Ghost disk set up with the right drivers and stuff so it can access the DVD drive ;)
Cheers,
