Turok is an epic, story-driven FPS game set on a dark, mysterious planet

I've just allowed a bunch of comments on Newzbin that say the same - I'm holding off playing it until the 5th anyway so hopefully any problems (if this error actually means anything significant) may have surfaced by then.

oh dear

just spent the past few hours playing this and its pants i'm afraid.
main issues are god awful enemies( poor mans killzone) and the lack of saving.
some dinos take 100's of bullets as most of em just miss-even takes donkeys to kill ickle ones.

it has a save facility but that just takes you back to last checkpoint which means you have to do the same buts over and over again and watch the same cutscenes that are unskippable.
must have done the bow and arrow section 5 times after falling of branches etc.
and when you getthe bow you can shoot someone in the face and they get back up and kill you.
also theres a lift section and after the 10th attempt which takes you alllllllllllllllllllllll the way back down to the begining i got fed up-complete coaster until next week when i may try out the multiplayer after official release date.
not a patch on the n64 original.
the only thing i did like was the dino graphics and the knife kills.

Oh well hopefully ill be fine, I was playing the game online, it isnt nearly as fun of a online game as i hoped. I guess im used to COD4, GOW, Halo

That's a .NET related error.

I got nothing against newsgroups but anything off there is supect as they are often repacked etc. Better to get them direct from the source.

Can someone please confirm if this a) works and b) is safe to play ie all stealth checks and ss files are OK?

I won't play anything till the official release date anyway but I want to know if this version is OK when that day comes, which is next Friday by the way.

meh all games are stealth safe imo
i'm on original firmware from day one and play all games all the time with no issues.
methinks its just certain titles on certain dates that get ya.

The Pal version returns the same error in Mulleter too.

As for newsgroups being dodgy - well I agree anything shared is a risk but in all honesty I've been using them for the last 4 years and due to the fact Newzbin allows for a warning / comments system I've never had a problem.

The .nfo appears to state the same as the last one.
