I have found out that my Hitachi 47dj drive likes CMC-D01 dye dvds , any other CMC dye type's are not as good, i have to do several ejects and then they boot.... The best blanks for me have been ZeroDefex CMC MAG-D01-00. The problem i am having is this, its not that easy to find CMC-D01-00 dvds anywhere, i have got some Bulkpaq Orange CMC MAG-D03-64 . They are all burned the same way using my Pioneer 111D Writer with IMGBurn 2.3.2.0 (and then CloneDVD 5.3.1.0 if the IMGBurn backup fails to boot, just incase) , some boot and others dont. They all read on the PC DVD Drive as video DVD's (XGD2DVD_NTSC) with the usual use this disc in an xbox 360 etc message so i know they have burned correctly.... When I put the game into my 360, it starts spinning the disc at a high speed like its about to read it, and then I can hear a clicking sound that sounds like its coming from the laser. It clicks 4-5 times, and then the disc spins down and it says disc unplayable in my dashboard. But like i said, not all of them do this, even though they are burned exactly the same way on the same media and they all read as video DVDs on the PC, some boot and some dont..... I bought some more ZeroDefex DVDs and they arrived today, to my dissapointent they have changed the Dye and they are now CMC MAG-D04-00, these backups have burned correctly but these will not boot AT ALL Does anyone know why some boot and some wont ?? and how to make them boot ?? I do not rip my own backups, i use scene releases that are checked out and work for countless other people....i have opened up my 360 and cleaned the laser, originals and 80% of backups all play perfectly...... I just cant figure out why some boot and some dont....its weird Thanks in advance for any help you can give me

Glad you sorted your problem but I wouldn't really recommend using that CMC junk in the future. :) Tweaking the laser usually only a temp fix. Crap media like CMC won't help extend the life of your laser any.
