View Full Version : SPDIF out header ?

hi lads built my new pc and want to use it to connect to my amp and projector

i have connected it ok to projector
but the amp is were i hae problem
i need to connect by optical or digital cable
but my motherboard has a SPDIF out header to connect the plate or something
question is were do i get the card to connect to the header (the 4 pins in motherboard)
any help would be grateful

Depending on the mobo, some mobos need only a simple adapter cable and some need a full SPDIF module. You'll need to tell the model # of your mobo as the pin layout on each mobo is different.

been looking and cant find anything anywere
can you buy a pci soundcard with opitical out built into it
saving me looking for the board to connect to spdif

Yes you can .... check out the Creative cards
