Hi all, a quick question, which hopefully those in the know should be able to answer pretty easily.

Do I need to but the Microsoft XBox 360 Wireless adapter? Or can I just use any USB wireless adapter?

You can also set up a DD-WRT router to work as a wireless access point in client mode if you want to save yourself £10-£20.

you can only use the microsoft usb adaptor if you want to go usb since you cant load the drivers for other adaptors however the ethernet port will work with anywireless adaptor with no configuration on the xbox it acts as a wired connection

You can also use a wirless router and save a lot of money and set it up as a wireless adaptor

so would i be right in saying any wireless adapter which connection is ethernet based not usb? If this is correct are there any other adapters available apart from the Netgear one as i cant find any for sale anywhere :(

if ya cant find any of them netgears for sale then any wireless gameing adaptor should work, there are some on ebay that say they work on a 360.
you just use the ethernet socket thats all:)

Yh i also have a microsoft one and even though it was pricey its never let me down. But also i know my friend hooks his xbox 360 up to a laptop and uses that to connect to the internet.
