"please put this disk into a 360 console" screen

I got this on my xbox 360 with origs and backups.......read about and it seemed the prob. was my laser.....went out and got a new drive....and still the same problem:(
the orig. drive was a samsung fw28, new drive was a hitichi....so spoofed it....but it didnt fix the problem...it still says..."please put this disk into a 360 console"
Any other reason except for the drive that might cause this?

Wrong Key or missing Key. They are the only causes for this I have ever seen for this message.
If it were laser you'd have got a lot of dirty disc errors and the drive would spin up a lot and try to read but I'm sure it wouldn't go to the "put this disc in a 360 console screen".
Have you checked the key with firmware toolbox? If the key looks O.K did you have anyone elses key on your PC that might have got mixed up accidentally?

I think i might have lost the orig.key now :(

Is there anyway to pair the drive up....even just to play origanals?

there is a way to extract the drive key from the console but it needs an infectus modchip and some addon hardware + soldering.

i should be offering this service on BST in the next couple of weeks.

can you not read the firmware from your old ms28 to get the key?
