did I kill my xbox

OK I looked and searched this forum and couldn't find a direct answer. So I'm posting this. I tried to mod a buddy's xbox today using excuter 2.3 plus lite a no solder chip. He has a version on xbox by the way. I flashed it with the programmer and got it to light up right two blue lights one green/yellow. now the problem it started fragging. so I reflashed , still fragging, played around for a couple of hours... still fragging. After I got annoyed and really p*ssed off I gave up for the day. I deceided to just put everything back together so we could still play it. When I put it all back together it still fragged there was no mod chip whatsoever installed. I tried turning it off and then back on and again it fragged. The harddrive may be the problem cause when I turned it on the second or third time the HD made a beepping noise one solid beep.There was not an error message or anything on the TV just a blue screen of death. Please tell me that the xbox is still working. Any help or info will be greatly appricated.

Sounds like the chip is good might be an issue with the HDD as you were speculating, try slayers auto installer on the HDD and reformat it. Make a backup of the drive first if that's possible. Make sure all connections and pins are where they are supposed to be, I fragged an 80 gig HDD because the IDE pin wasn't in all the way.HTH

if there's a frag with no chip in, check your cables. if they all look good, then inspect the d0 area. with all the fudging with the chip you did, it may have damaged a via or two and that's the cause of the frag.
