help please, new ipod locking up

Hi, as the title says my daughters new ipod keeps locking up. Anyone now why? I think it's a comon problem but can't find anything to tell me why its happening. Any help please. ta

Don't know anything about ipods, but can you join it to the computer and update the ipod software in itunes.

yeh done that already. bought 2 for my daughters 1 is ok the other keeps freezing. already taken 1 back but the replacement is the same.

The best solution to every IPOD Software problem
is formatting it through windows THOROUGHLY .... and unplug the ipod and switch it on. and it will install the factory firmware by it self...

most of the problems are due to firmware upgrades.
If it does not install use factory cd
