Hello there, i have a Panasonic dvd recorder DMR E55, i have just backed up some VHS onto DVD, however i have a problem because i have recorded 3 titles (4 hours worth) on a single dvd, how do i split the 3 programmes and have 3 different titles? I think i have figured out how to put chapter points but struggling with titles

if you have the manual it tells u there im sure, i have the e20 model and its not obvious without the manual. i would do a step by step guide for you m8 but its probaly useless as the e20's diff from e55!

looked in the manual m8 and is quite confusing, from whati can make out i can add chapters on ram disks, on dvd-r disks i have to use finalise disk to add 5 minute chapter points, how do you do it with an e-20?

I have the E50, and there is no way (Within the confines of the recorder) to split the shows up on a regular DVD-R disk, unless you hit STOP and then RECORD again between each program you with to record.

You can only do it (create three programs) if you recorded on dvdram & then its on the menu.

Yeah, and I really hate that because I have to sit there and WATCH what im recording..
We could probably record just one long track and then edit it with TMPGEnc DVD Author, but that takes just as much time...
sigh

Yeah, but if you use the navigator, then properties, you can take one big segment & make it as many segments as you want. I assumed that you already recorded something from you post, if not you can play & stop too.
